Afkar.me has opened applications from regional and international start-ups and entrepreneurs as it prepares for its second round of incubation.
Successful applicants will receive a $20,000 fund injection and three month incubation in Dubai or Riyadh, joining the programme run by Intigral, in partnership with STC and the Malaysian media conglomerate All Asia Networks.
Afkar.me is billed as a ‘full spectrum digital oriented product incubator’, and it recently announced the winners of its first round.
Vice president of digital at Intigral, Juan Jose Del La Torre, said: “We were very pleased with the overall quality of entries for Afkar.me’s first intake, and we are looking forward to the second round of entries.”
In addition to the seed funding, winning entrepreneurs and start-ups will receive mentorship from MENA’s leading experts, office space at Intigral’s Dubai and Riyadh offices, hands-on training and support, exchange programmes with leading international incubators, and access to MENA markets, with a focus on Saudi Arabia.
De La Torre added: “We believe in the value proposition we are offering the market and this has been validated through multiple partners both regionally and internationally.
“As such we are happy to announce that soon Afkar.me participants will have a chance to go on an exchange program to Europe and the US and benefit from international expertise and exposure.
